SEOsen Privacy Policy

SEOsen (seosen.app) is an internal tool our team uses to monitor and manage the websites we operate. It is not offered to the public. This policy explains what Google user data SEOsen accesses and what it does with it.

Data we access

When a team member signs in with Google and grants access, SEOsen requests these scopes:

• Search Console, read-only (webmasters.readonly): search performance (queries, pages, clicks, impressions, positions), index coverage and sitemaps for the sites that Google account can access.
• Google Analytics, read-only (analytics.readonly): GA4 report data such as sessions and traffic sources for those sites.
• Email address (openid, email): only to show which Google account is connected.

SEOsen never modifies, deletes or submits anything in Search Console, Google Analytics or any other part of the Google account.

How we use the data

• Show each site's search traffic, rankings and indexing status on dashboards and in weekly and monthly reports.
• Detect problems such as traffic drops or pages dropping out of the index, and alert the team.
• AI-assisted features: topic ideas, first drafts of posts and site profiles. For these, a site's search queries, pages and their numbers are sent to the AI model provider an administrator has configured (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, or an API gateway such as HaoAI or OpenRouter). Only the data needed for that request is sent.
• Keyword research: some search queries may be sent to the SEO data provider an administrator has configured (DataForSEO, Ahrefs or Semrush) to look up search volume and competing pages for those queries.

Sharing

We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the AI model and SEO data providers described above, and only to provide the features the team uses. We do not allow humans to read the data except team members using the tool, or where needed for security, legal compliance or with the user's consent.

We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models.

SEOsen's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Storage and security

Data is stored on our own server and is reachable only by signed-in team members. OAuth tokens and other credentials are encrypted at rest. Connections use HTTPS.

Retention and deletion

• Raw Search Console and GA4 data is kept for up to about 16 months (the same window Search Console itself provides), so seasonal trends can be compared; older days are dropped on each sync. Reports built from it, such as weekly and monthly summaries, are kept until the site is removed.
• When a site is removed from SEOsen, its Google data is deleted. When Google access is revoked, the stored tokens are deleted immediately.
• Deleted data leaves our routine database backups as they rotate out.
• To ask for your data to be deleted, email the contact below. We act on requests within 30 days.

Revoking access

An administrator can click "Revoke access" in SEOsen under Settings → Connections & keys. You can also remove SEOsen at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
